Porsche has issued a recall for its Cayenne SUV, due to a potential problem with the vehicle’s pedals.
A weakness has been identified with a circlip on the bearing bracket for the pedals, which could work its way loose.
More than 400,000 Cayennes are affected worldwide, of which 6,168 are in Australia. Model years 2011 through to 2016 are all included in the recall.
Porsche says it is checking these models as a preventative measure, and that work will be carried out free of charge in less than half-an-hour.
The carmaker’s other SUV, the Macan, was recalled in October last year for a potential fuel hose problem.
Porsche will attempt to contact affected owners shortly, but any owner wishing to learn more about the latest round of recalls should contact their local dealer.
