Plenty would agree Porsche’s new 911 GT3 RS is something a little bit special, but now the German carmaker has given us a chance to see just what it can do.

With New Zealander and factory Porsche test driver Brendon Hartley at the wheel, the 911 GT3 RS has taken to the Nardò Ring in Italy; mainly for our amusement.

The day out is captured on film, with Hartley using a smartphone to film the lead-up and give us his own tour of the car upon arrival at Nardò.

From there, Porsche’s film crew takes over, although one of them will be wishing he took motion sickness tablets before climbing aboard for some hot laps…

After a (very) quick launch control demonstration, we’re off. There’s no camera or edit suite trickery here, as the RS effortlessly carves up the corners accompanied by a glowing commentary from Hartley.
