911 BLACK EDITION

Porsche has announced that its special 911 Black Edition models, available in both Carrera Coupe and Cabriolet form, will arrive in Australia from late April.

Based on the entry-level versions of both bodystyles, the 911 Black Edition models are powered by Porsche's 254kW 3.6 litre flat-six engine.

Discerning the theme of the Black Edition line-up is no challenge, with the special pair available in any colour you like: as long as it's black. Black outside, black inside.

On the outside, the 911 Black Edition gets the one black paint option, along with 19-inch Turbo II alloy wheels, a unique 911 badge and Black Edition door sills.

The cabin sees the full-black theme continued with a black sports steering wheel, black centre console and a limited edition number plaque on the glove box.

Performance remains unchanged, with the Coupe covering the 0-100km/h sprint in 4.9 seconds and the Cabriolet close behind on 5.1 seconds.

Australia

The Black Edition will be priced in-line with the entry-level Carrera models: $223,000 for the Coupe and $245,000 for the Cabriolet.

Available from late April, production is limited to 1911 examples worldwide.
