Pierre Leclercq Named New Head Of Styling At Kia

Kia has created a new position within its styling and design ranks, and the gig has gone to former Great Wall designer Pierre Leclercq.

The title of ‘Head Of Styling’ will appear on Leclercq’s office door, and he will work with Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer, and Head Of Kia Design, Seon Ho Youn, at Kia’s design studio in Namyang, Korea.

According to Kia, the new position sees Leclercq focus on “long-term design strategy and innovation”.

Leclercq’s role also includes the task of “[accelerating] the establishment of a consistent design DNA across the expanding Kia model range”.

The job is all-inclusive, with interiors, exteriors, materials and textiles in cooperation with Kia’s other designers spread across Korea, China, Europe and the US.
