Piaggio, Hyosung Announce Price Cuts

Whether your tastes run to motorcycles or their smaller siblings, Piaggio and Hyosung have moved to make the choice a little easier for those looking at powered two-wheelers.

Both companies have cut prices across their Australian line-ups, with Piaggio cutting as much as $600 from its Vespa range and Hyosung as much as $1300.

"The strong Australian dollar has provided significant pricing advantages for Aussie scooter purchasers and Piaggio has made it clear they will continue to pass these savings on wherever possible," Piaggio National Sales Manager, Gavan Moody said.

Piaggio's Vespa range

• LX 125 - $5290 (down $200)
• GTS 250 - $6990 (down $500
• GTS 300 - $7990 (down $500
• GTS 300 SS - $8290 (down $600
• GTV 300 - $9490 (down $500

Hyosung Price Cuts

Korean motorcycle brand Hyosung has found considerable success in Australia, particularly with the GT250R – a top seller in its category and until recently, one of the only road-going fully-faired sports bikes available new in the 250CC category.

"We have the most powerful LAMS (Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme) bike on the market, that are full sized and come in a variety of models to suit all riders, and they are now even more affordable," Hyosung Sales Manager Brendon Roberts said.

"There has never been a better time to get on a Hyosung."

Like Piaggio, Hyosung points to the strong dollar as the driving force behind this week's price cuts.
