As the sun sets on the Peugeot RCZ coupe in Australia, the last 40 vehicles remaining in stock have been given a severe price cut, now avaialble for $49,990 drive away.

That compares to the previous $58,990 price across the range, plus on road costs, resulting in a saving of almost $14,000 (as calculated by Peugeot for NSW residents).

The runout offer applies to all three variants of the standard RCZ range, including the 147kw/275Nm 1.6 litre turbo petrol manual, 115kW/240Nm 1.6 litre turbo petrol automatic, and the 120kW/340Nm 2.0 litre turbo diesel manual.

Remaining stocks of the high-performance RCZ-R with its uprated 199kW/330Nm 1.6 litre turbo petrol engine aren’t included as part of the runout offer.

Standard RCZ features include dual-zone climate control, satellite navigation, powered leather sports seats, 19-inch alloy wheels, active rear spoiler, and automatic lights and wipers.

The runout offer is valid until the 31st of March 2016 or until stocks last. Production of the RCZ came to a close in September 2015.

Peugeot will not be replacing the RCZ in its line-up, instead opting to focus on performance variants of its existing model lines, like the 208 GTi and soon to launch 308 GTi hatches.
