Peugeot has unveiled what it calls “a new vision” for the crossover SUV market with a new concept destined for the Paris Motor Show.
Called the Quartz, the concept is a radical styling direction for the future of medium SUVs.
It may perhaps preview an upcoming Peugeot model - a styling revolution for the 3008 and 5008, each facelifted just last year.
Performance is a key consideration for the concept, with a combined 371kW on tap from a petrol engine and two electric motors - one each for the front and rear axles.
A 1.6 litre four-cylinder petrol engine develops 201kW and 350Nm, matched with two electric motors producing 85kW each with power delivered to the wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
