Peugeot will reportedly unveil a new large SUV concept at next year's Beijing Auto Show, previewing a future production model.

As with Peugeot's other SUV and crossover models, the new concept is expected to wear a 'X00X' badge, likely debuting the 6008 name.

According to the UK's Auto Express, the new SUV will be built on the same architecture beneath Citroen's recent Wild Rubis concept

The report adds that the new SUV will offer seating for seven passengers over three rows, and PSA Peugeot Citroen's Hybrid4  technology will provide power.

We can likely expect the 6008 to feature a premium look and luxury materials, as part of Peugeot's push to move further up-market

For its part, the carmaker has yet to confirm plans to launch a new large SUV. If the 6008 does reach production, it may start in China, where the company is working to establish itself as a genuine prestige brand.
