Announced ahead of its 2017 on-sale date, the Opel Ampera-e is set to become the first fully electric vehicle offered by General Motors’ European division.

If the Ampera-e looks familiar to you, that’s because apart from the unique grille inserts and Opel badging, the Ampera-e is carbon-copy of the Chevrolet Bolt revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year.

Full details of the Ampera-e are yet to be revealed, but if the Opel version matches the Chevrolet Bolt, a 320km range from a single charge can be expected.
