New South Wales Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) has confirmed it is no longer sending out registration stickers with renewal notices for passenger vehicles.

Announced earlier this year, the new policy means that motorists with registration due on or after the 1st of January will no longer need to display a window sticker.

The new policy applies to all 'light vehicles', including passenger cars, motorcycles and trailers up to 4.5 tonnes.

Automated Number Plate Recognition systems now in regular use.

The registration process will otherwise remain unchanged.
