Nissan Teams Up With MoS To Create The Juke Box

The Nissan Juke has been out in Europe for a while now, but that hasn't stopped Nissan from thinking up new ways to tell the world about its baby.

To that end, Nissan has teamed up with Ministry of Sound to create the Nissan Juke Box. (We all saw it coming, but it still elicited a few groans at TMR HQ.)

It's hardly a Juke-R or Juke Nismo - cars to get the blood racing - but if you turn the Box's custom-made stereo up full-bore, the blood may just race from your ears.

Ministry of Sound is a brand synonymous with loud music commonly emanating from cars very low to the ground, and driven by those whose baseball caps have a dubious sense of direction.

The stereo fitted to the Juke Box would blow the doors clear off those cars, though, thanks to its 18,900W stereo rated to 150 decibels.

To put that in perspective, Boeing's 747 passenger jet generates an ear-splitting 140db at full power. (That's a lot of fully sick 6x9s in the parcel shelf. And in the tailgate. And on the back seat.)

The Juke Box opened its European tour of duty at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and will spend the European summer hooked up to DJ's decks wherever young people can be found.
