Nissan's European arm is developing a GT-R inspired high-performance version of its quirky Juke crossover - a Godzilla Junior, if you will.
Known internally as the Super Juke, details for the concept are thin on the ground. Reports overseas point to an incredible 360kW output, suggesting a version of the GT-R's 3.8 litre twin-turbo V6 could be hinding beneath the bonnet.
According to Britain's AutoExpress, we can expect a 0-100km/h time of four seconds and a top speed of 275km/h.
In its regular form, the Juke is offered with 140kW and 117kW petrol engines, and a Renault-sourced 82kW diesel engine.
Shown here (above) in in artwork purportedly leaked from Nissan of Europe, the Super Juke will get its guards pumped for a more aggressive look.
The flared guards will also accommodate a wider track and fatter GT-R style wheels with the bigger brakes necessary to bring nearly 400kW of power to a halt.
There's also a large splitter at the front and while the rear is not visible, a hefty diffuser likely resides at the back, beneath the two roof-mounted spoilers. Expect a stripped-out interior and lightweight panels.
The Super Juke is understood to be a design and technology study only. Watch for more details in the coming weeks.
