Nissan has revealed a series of revisions to its GT-R Nismo GT3 racer, just 15 months on from its initial debut.

Developed by in-house racing and performance division Nismo, the track-only weapon is built to comply with international FIA GT3 regulations.

Since its August 2011 track debut, the existing version has managed several victories around the globe for Nismo works team NDDP Racing and other customer entries.

For 2013, the GT-R Nismo GT3 gains further internal reinforcement for its 3.8 litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine, along with revised camshaft timing.

Outputs now start at 405kW/637Nm for the GT3-compliant engine, with several other states of tune available to suit varying track conditions.

Minor braking, suspension and transmission upgrades have also found their way onto the rear wheel drive-only racer.
