Nissan's new Qashqai small SUV touches down in Australia this week, following its international unveiling late last year.

Replacing the Dualis (already known as Qashqai elsewhere), the new SUV evolves the sharpened styling shared with its larger X-Trail stablemate.

Priced from $25,850, the Qashqai is available in four trim grades, with one petrol and one diesel engine, along with six-speed manual and CVT auto transmissions.

The new range also sees the end to an all-wheel-drive option, with only five percent of Dualis customers going in that direction.

Nissan has also confirmed that for the new Qashqai, Capped Price Servicing will move to 10,000km / 12-month service intervals, rather than the 10,000km / six-month schedule of the Dualis. (See costing chart here.)
