The GT-R powered Juke-R concept will never see production. And, in case you were waiting on it (to scare the neighbors), we Aussies will likely also never see the regular Juke - if 'regular' is not a contradiction in terms - on local roads.
Overseas buyers will soon get the chance to emulate the Juke-R's enhanced look however, as this new Nismo-designed styling and performance package reveals.
Propping up each corner is a set of 19-inch alloy wheels, and the whole thing has been lowered and stiffened with bits from Nismo's parts catalogues (no details yet).
Nismo promises a power and performance upgrade for the Juke's 1.6 litre direct-injected and turbocharged petrol engine, but it's not revealing any figures until next week.
The doors haven't been opened on this one just yet, but Nissan's tuning and styling specialist says we can expect an overhauled interior with sports versions of the steering wheel, seats, pedals, gauges, shifter knob and door trims.
In the past, Nismo has restricted itself to the likes of Nissan's Z hero, but Nismo boss Shoichi Miyatani says we can expect to see the badge on a wider range of Nissan cars in the future.
"As the Concept shows, Nismo brings new levels of individuality to mainstream Nissan cars like Juke. The future for Nismo is to develop premium sports designs for an ever-widening range of customers," Mr Miyatani said.
"Our forthcoming range of cars will be just as accessible and innovative as every Nissan product, but with added Nismo energy they will be even more fun to own and drive," he added.
