Nissan previews new 'sporty' electric car with Nismo Leaf concept.
The Japanese brand has revealed the first images and details of the Leaf concept which will debut at the upcoming 2017 Tokyo motor show at the end of October.
While the Nismo concept gets a sportier look, the concept is based ont he standard second-generation leaf which made its debut in September and features a claimed 400km range between charges.
The concept boasts a Nismo bodykit that the company claims improves the aerodynamics of the car. It also features Nismo’s signature black and red styling highlights to give it a different look from the rest of the range.
Nissan hasn’t revealed any potential mechanical changes for improved performance but has claimed it has “sport-tuned suspension” and “high-performance” tyres. It also claims the car’s computer has been reprogrammed to deliver “instant acceleration at all speeds” for the concept.
