New S90 Can Match The Germans For Sales Volume, Volvo Says

Volvo’s new S90 sedan will have the goods to steal more than a few ‘conquest’ sales from its rivals in the prestige market, the company’s UK boss reckons.

Speaking with the UK’s Autocar, Volvo UK chief Nick Connor said that, like the big new XC90 SUV, the S90 will demonstrate the company’s new “self-confidence” in going its own way.

"There is no point in trying to outhandle the 3 Series or whatever, we have our own values around exterior and interior design, safety, comfort and powertrain advancements that stand out for their own qualities,” he said.
