2015 RENAULT TRAFIC REVEALED
Renault has revealed its new Trafic load hauler this week, following a teaser image released early last month.
The new Trafic will hit European markets in the coming months, with an Australian debut set to occur in the following year.
Importantly for Renault, the new 2015 van is the first all-new Trafic since the second-generation model appeared in 2001, nearly 14 years ago.
On the styling front, the new Trafic takes its cue from Renault’s latest passenger cars, including a broad grille garnish that connects both headlights.
The van’s profile is given a dynamic touch with a low-set character line that sweeps up to the A-pillar, while the rear-end is a more conventional affair.
For now, the Trafic will be offered exclusively with Renault’s 1.6 litre dCi diesel engine, including the new twin-turbo unit revealed in February.
The full range is still to be revealed, but Renault promises a huge 270-strong line of variants, with different length and height options, along with a number of cab and chassis layouts.
Built in France, the new Trafic will be sold in 50 countries, and it will also form the basis of the next Opel Vivaro, teased last month.
More details are expected to come soon.
