Styling for the new F sedan would likely follow the path set out by the RC F, with fatter guards over a wider track, gaping vents and unique styling at both ends.
Likewise, power for the next IS F would undoubtedly come from the same 330kW+/520Nm+ 5.0 litre V8 that drives the top coupe.
That would make for a handy boost over the existing IS F, whose V8 engine delivers 311kW and 505Nm of torque.
As with the RC F coupe, Lexus would likely also offer a carbon-fibre package to help reduce the IS F's kerb weight and lower its centre of gravity.
Of course, reports of a new IS F have been circulating for more than a year - but with the technology now ready and waiting in the RC F, there are few barriers left between buyers and a new top-shelf IS model.
