New Cruze To Be Revealed In June, Packing Apple CarPlay And Android Auto

The next-generation Cruze small sedan will make its global debut next month, GM’s Chevrolet arm has confirmed this week.

And, as yet another sign of the growing importance of infotainment to modern motorists, the first preview released today reveals only the new model’s centre display, running Apple’s new CarPlay system.

The released images accompany the announcement that, depending on the model,  the new Cruze will offer connectivity with both CarPlay and the new Android Auto platform.

The Cruze won’t be alone, however, with 14 other Chevrolet models adding connectivity for both systems over the next year.

Chevrolet's European counterpart, Opel, has also confirmed that it too will offer CarPlay and Android Auto with its new Astra, due in September.
