Chevrolet has previewed a new logo for its upcoming new Corvette, while Hyundai is set to reveal yet another hot concept version of its Veloster small sports hatch.

The 2014 C7 Corvette is set to be revealed at the Detroit Motor Show in January, but for now, Chevrolet has revealed the latest version of Corvette’s classic ‘crossed flag’ logo.

Variations of this logo have been a mainstay of the Corvette since the original’s 1953 debut, with this latest version the sixth in the line.

“The all-new, seventh-generation Corvette deserved an all-new emblem. The flags are much more modern, more technical, and more detailed than before – underscoring the comprehensive redesign of the entire car”, VP of global GM design Ed Wellburn said.

Chief engineer of the C7 project, Tadge Juechter promises the new model will offer “design, refinement, efficiency and driver engagement that is second to none.”

The tweaked logo’s unveiling is likely to be one of many teasers released by Chevrolet in the leadup to the model’s debut in January.
