New Camaro Could Come To Australia: Report

Fans of the Holden Monaro could be in for a treat before the decade is out, as new reports suggest a new halo Holden performer is heading ‘down under’.

Speaking with Australian press in Detroit this week, GM executive Stefan Jacoby confirmed plans for a model that would “truly fit the requirements of a true Holden sports car”.

Could this be a new Opel-sourced hot hatch? Many lion fans would argue that doesn’t quite fit the bill for a “true Holden sports car”.

It seems Jacoby agrees: asked if a V8 engine would supply power, he said “mostly likely, yes”.

We should not of course expect that new model to wear a Monaro badge, and it would most certainly not be the current Camaro.

But… how about the next Camaro, or even the new Corvette?
