The RACQ has conducted a poll of long-distance drivers in an effort to gain a better understanding of how they make use of the state’s 34 designated driver reviver sites.
According to RACQ spokesperson Lauren Ritchie, Queensland motorists have a preference for service station and roadhouse stopping points - and they are driving past driver reviver stops to reach them.
“So it’s a concern that motorists may be travelling further and pushing their limits to reach service stations or road houses instead of utilising them.” Ms Ritchie said.
