Morgan has teased a new all-electric version of its 3 Wheeler, ahead of its official unveiling at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Called the 3 Wheeler EV3, the car is merely a prototype for now but it previews a future direction for a carmaker that prides itself on traditional craftsmanship.
In fact, Morgan says testing is ongoing for a customer version of the EV3 which could go into production as early as next year.
Power comes from a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 75kW, which helps to reduce the 3 Wheeler’s already-low 525kg to just 450kg.
Morgan hasn’t quoted a 0-100km/h time, but the British carmaker does say its EV3 will be “fun” with a predicted range on a full charge of 150 miles (240km).
