Mitsubishi will again show off its new G4 concept at this week's Shanghai Auto Show, previewing an upcoming compact sedan.
Unveiled at last month's Bangkok Auto Show, the G4 is expected to make its production debut as a light sedan companion to the Mirage hatch.
The G4 will lose the more outlandish elements of its design before hitting showrooms, including the futuristic lighting elements and bright blue grille panels.
Like the Mirage, the G4 is powered by a 1.2 litre three-cylinder petrol engine, matched to a CVT automatic transmission sending power to the front wheels.
The G4 also features a new version of Mitsubishi's Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution construction, which the carmaker claims is the strongest and lightest of its sort in the light-car segment.
Watch for the G4 to make a production debut in the next year.
