Mitsubishi eX Concept Previews Next-Generation EV SUV In Tokyo

Mitsubishi has unveiled a futuristic electric vehicle concept ahead of its appearance at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Simply called the eX Concept, the new creation is a compact SUV which features a mix of compact SUV and shooting brake styling - according to Mitsubishi.

But the big news for the eX is its powerplant, which comprises a 45kWh battery (which can be recharged wirelessly) matched with a pair of electric motors producing 70kW each.

One motor drives the front wheels with another providing power to the rear. In between is the battery pack, which is mounted low to maximise stability.
