The John Cooper Works version of MINI's new Paceman has surfaced online today, revealing the halo model in the new three-door SUV range.
Details for the new model are still to be confirmed, but we can likely expect it to share much of its mechanicals with the five-door Countryman JCW.
If the two high-riding MINIs feature the same innards, watch for the familiar turbocharged 1.6 litre engine to appear, delivering 160kW and 280Nm of torque.
In Countryman form, and with ALL4 all-wheel-drive on hand, MINI promises a swift sprint to 100km/h in just 7.0 seconds - in both six-speed manual and automatic versions.
As with the five-door model, the Paceman JCW gets a sports exhaust system and lower suspension on 18-inch alloy wheels, along with the requisite styling upgrades and speed stripes.
MINI's Sport button is also likely to feature, delivering enhanced engine and steering response, and giving the cabin "the full character of its soundtrack".
As for the regular Paceman, an Australian debut is scheduled for early in 2013, with two petrol models confirmed.
Watch for more details on the Paceman JCW to surface this week.
