MINI Goodwood: Rolls-Royce Mini-Me Special Edition

Ever wondered what you’d get if you crossed a Phantom with a MINI?

The safe guess would be a ‘little Rolls-Royce’. In essence that's exactly what MINI have on their hands with the MINI Goodwood; a MINI built under the guidance of the Rolls-Royce design team.

Only 1000 Goodwoods have been made. Each is individually numbered with only 10 allocated for sale in Australia.

With a price tag of $74,500 (incl GST), you could be mistaken for thinking they’ll take a while to sell; that’s one expensive MINI. But only two remain available.

Based on the Cooper S, the Goodwood gets the ‘bespoke’ treatment. The exterior is finished in rich diamond black metallic paint (purists will note the absence of the Cooper’s bonnet scoop), complemented by unique silver 17” alloy wheels.

The interior is described as ‘opulent’ and features a combination of Goodwood Cornsilk leather, and ‘rich’ walnut veneer.

Cornsilk carpets line the floor, and they are complemented by Rolls Royce lambswool floor mats.

Chrome switches, a Rolls Royce leather steering wheel, even Rolls Royce lettering throughout the instrument cluster leave no doubt that this isn’t the average Cooper S.

The MINI Goodwood has all of the option boxes ticked in advance, which means they are all automatics, and come with the MINI Navigation System, Voice Control and a harman/kardon Hi-Fi system.

The MINI Goodwood is the latest in a long line of MINI special edition models which includes the recently announced MINI Baker Street and MINI Bayswater, the MINI Soho and the MINI John Cooper Works World Championship 50.
