Michael Schumacher ‘Cannot Walk’, German Court Hears

The wellbeing of seven-time Formula 1 World Driver’s Champion, Michael Schumacher, has been a closely-guarded secret, but a rare update on the German’s condition has now come via the German courts.

Schumacher’s family is suing German magazine Bunte, which ran a ‘front-page’ report last year claiming the F1 ace was up and walking with the assistance of his carers.

Sadly for Schumacher fans, this appears to be false, as the BBC reports the driver’s lawyer was forced to reveal to the courts that Schumacher “cannot walk”.  

The court case backs a statement from Schumacher’s manager shortly after the magazine hit the shelves, which also stressed that the German driver’s health was nowhere close to that stated by the article.
