Augmented-reality group Metaio will demonstrate a wearable automotive manual at next week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Using currently-available wearable computing technology available through Metaio’s partners Epson and Vuzix - and the more recognisable Google Glass - a technician will soon be able to work on a vehicle while effectively ‘wearing’ the workshop manual.
Metaio will demonstrate a 3D maintenance app at the show using a Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning unit.
