The new Mercedes-Benz V-Class passenger van is on its way to Australia, with pricing and details revealed today ahead of a July launch.

Unveiled in January last year, the three-row V-Class debuted as a replacement for the big Viano people-mover.

Available to order now, the new V-Class arrives in one well-equipped model grade: the V 250 BlueTec AvantGarde, priced from $85,500.

Power in the V 250 is provided by a 140kW/440Nm 2.1 litre four-cylinder turbo diesel, the most powerful of three tunes available with this engine overseas.

The 2.1 litre diesel also boasts an ‘overtorque’ feature that increases those numbers by 10kW and 40Nm under acceleration.
