The German carmaker has released just a single teaser image (above) at this stage, but the outline strongly suggests a minivan or people-mover theme.
Whilst revealing little else, Mercedes does tell us that the new concept will be self-driven, and will carry the tag “Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo”.
The concept is also described as “luxurious and progressive - a vision for future generations”.
Benz’s latest autonomous concept follows the F 015 Luxury In Motion concept (pictured above) from this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, along with an autonomous interior study from the same show.
Parent company Daimler secured ‘licence’ plates for a pair of Freightliner trucks in the US earlier this year, as the company undertakes testing on public roads.
