Photos of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz SL have made their way online in the European press ahead of the new model’s official debut at the LA Auto Show.
Mercedes teased the new model a few days back, with a single image showing the roadster’s updated face.
But the cat is out of the bag now, although technical details are still very much unclear at this stage.
The images show the new SL has moved closer to Benz’s current design language. A new grille, bumper and headlights with LED daytime running lights were introduced in the teaser pic, but now fans can see how the front end works with the rest of the design.
The 2017 SL gets a new alloy wheel design with a black finish, wearing high-performance Continental tyres.
Inside, there’s an updated infotainment system, a revised gear knob and a new flat-bottomed steering wheel.
At the rear, the SL gets a new bumper, a boot lid spoiler and revised tail lamps featuring ‘red all over’ lenses.
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz SL’s powertrain options are expected to get a refresh with more power and/or improved economy, but full specifications are yet to be released.
Stay tuned to TMR for more from the LA Auto Show.
