Mercedes-Benz Australia has announced its second recall this week, this time for the AMG S63 sedan and coupe, regarding a possible engine stalling issue.

The recall covers 122 vehicles sold between 1st November 2014 and 30th September 2015.

Vehicles concerned may stall when coasting to a stop due to a software hiccup with the engine and transmission control units, posing a risk to vehicle occupants and other road users.

Earlier this week, Mercedes-Benz announced a recall for the ML and GLE SUV concerning a potential electrical short in the windscreen wiper motor.

This recall is also the second for the current generation S-Class this month, with the S63 coupe recalled for incorrectly fitted front seatbelts at the start of November.

Mercedes-Benz will attempt to contact affected owners in writing, but any owner wishing to know more should contact their local dealer.
