Mercedes-Benz has confirmed its S-Class Coupe concept is headed for the Frankfurt Motor Show, releasing telling teaser sketches ahead of next week's unveiling.

Every angle of the new flagship coupe has been covered in the sketches, giving us a good idea of what we can expect from the concept.

The S-Class Coupe is set to arrive in 2015, replacing the CL-Class in the German carmaker’s line-up and providing Mercedes with a new model to rival BMW's big 6 Series.

Mercedes released a short statement to accompany the new pictures that simply reads: “Sneak-peek part II. The Concept S-Class Coupé. Looks promising? More to come soon!”

No new information has been released, however, and it remains to be seen how close the S-Class Coupe concept will be to the production version (our guess; pretty close).

Another strong hint at the road-going version was provided earlier this year, when an S-Class Coupe was spied testing at the Nurburgring.

It’s safe to say we can expect the coupe to mirror most of the S-Class sedan’s features and specifications including engine options, safety features and luxury appointments.

The S-Class sedan is set to go on sale in Australia from November, with pricing yet to be confirmed.

The Frankfurt Motor Show news is coming thick and fast. Stay tuned to TMR to catch it all.
