Motorclassica: Mercedes S-Class Coupe, ’57 SL Prototype And More

The doors to Melbourne's Motorclassica were thrown open to the press and guests last night, and sitting in pride of place, Mercedes Benz' fabulous new S-Class S 63 Coupe.

Along with that new special, Mercedes-Benz has also delivered on its ‘surprise’ for the event, unveiling a new SL-Class to celebrate the roadster’s 60th birthday.

It sat alongside a super-rare Australia-based 1957 SL 220 prototype, just one of four ever built and, to the knowledge of the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, the only remaining example.
