Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class SUV: First Photos Surface Online

New official images of Mercedes-Benz’s updated M-Class SUV, which will be re-christened ‘GLE-Class’, have surfaced online.

The new badge forms part of a move to harmonise the Mercedes series: ‘GL’ represents all SUVs, while the ‘E’ in this model’s name positions it as a ‘large SUV’ alongside the large E-Class series.

The new name's debut follows the December unveiling of the GLE Coupe, which will soon enter the range as a BMW X6-rivalling companion to the more practical GLE.
