Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for its G-Class off-roader and ML SUV, due to a potential problem with the front passenger seat.
The carmaker has identified an issue with the seat’s occupancy sensor, which may not activate the passenger airbag as intended during a collision.
Should this occur, an increased risk of injury may be present for any person occupying the front passenger seat.
Affected models were sold in Australia between June of 2015 and March last year.
Recent recalls for Mercedes-Benz include the S-Class and E-Class, which were both recalled towards the end of last year for separate issues.
Mercedes-Benz will attempt to contact affected owners shortly, but any owner wishing to learn more about the latest round of recalls should contact their local dealer or phone Mercedes-Benz Australia on 03 9566 9266.
