Mercedes-Benz has expanded its workhorse G-Class Professional range with the addition of a wagon variant to line up alongside the existing G-Class Professional Cab Chassis.
The new G 300 CDI Professional Wagon shares its 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine with the Cab Chassis, with 135kW of power and 400Nm of torque delivered to a permanent all wheel drive system via a five-speed automatic transmission.
Both G-Class Professional models are equipped with locking front, rear, and centre differentials, plus a bull bar, snorkel, dual 12-volt battery system, headlight and indicator stone guards, tyre pressure monitoring and heavy duty radiator and sump guards.
The G 300 DCI Professional Wagon features seating for four with walk-through access to the cargo area, and has a braked towing capacity of 3140kg - just a touch less than the 3200kg capacity of the Cab Chassis.
Available options include a winch preparation package ($1700), a wire mesh cargo area partition ($1200), walk-on bonnet ($1900) heated seats ($900), or an Edition PUR pack that combines electric door mirrors, heat reducing rear glass, running boards, headlight washers, heated leather seats, walk-on bonnet, roof rack, and a radio/CD player for $9900.
