Mercedes-Benz has released new 'spy photo' teasers and video for its upcoming CLA and CLA 45 AMG four-door coupes.
Last month, Mercedes confirmed the small CLA will debut at January's Detroit Auto Show, revealing the production look of the recent Style concept.
Later in 2013, the flagship CLA 45 AMG will bow at the Frankfurt Motor Show, debuting as the latest offering in a slew of new AMG-enhanced models.
Power for the CLA 45 AMG will come from the same 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine that will star in the A 45 AMG hatch, producing upwards of 245kW and 400Nm.
The CLA 45 AMG will also get the same all-wheel-drive system bound for the hatch, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The AMG-tuned sedan will give Mercedes an advantage in its battle with rivals BMW and Audi, which offer only hatch models in the segment: the 235kW M135i and the 250kW RS 3.
