The family of C-Class models from Mercedes-Benz has been enhanced this week, with the unveiling of the C-Class Cabriolet in both ‘regular’ and AMG guise at the Geneva Motor Show.
Benz chose the C 300 and AMG C 43 variants to showcase its new drop-top - a four-seat midsizer which adds a new open-air element to the well-received C-Class range.
The C 300 is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine making 180kW and 370Nm, as per the C 300 sedan.
Losing the roof costs the Cabriolet 0.1 seconds in the 0-100km/h sprint, with a time of 6.3 seconds against the sedan’s 6.2.
