Mercedes tuning arm AMG has handed down the first official photo of its new GT3 race car, ahead of next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
This image follows a pair of teaser sketches that landed last week, offering only a stylised view of what we’ll see in the weeks ahead.
A deeper and subtly re-shaped grille dominates the face of the GT Coupe’s track-eating cousin, surrounded by flared guards and a full aero kit.
A trio of vents line the top of the view, with a large main opening in the bonnet flanked by a row of gills in each of the front guards.
Technical details are still to come, but a racing version of the GT Coupe’s 4.0 litre biturbo V8 surely lies behind that big grille.
Watch for the AMG GT3 to make its proper debut early next month.
