The all-new Mercedes-AMG C 63 S performance sedan and wagon will hit Australia from $154,900 and $157,400 respectively, the carmaker has confirmed.
Entering as the hotly-anticipated flagship models in Mercedes’ hugely successful new C-Class range, both will arrive in showrooms during the third quarter of 2015.
In sedan form, the new C 63 undercuts key rival the BMW M3 by just over $1500, while also being more affordable than its own predecessor.
BMW does not offer an M3-badged rival to the C 63 Estate, although Audi's RS 4 Avant wagon is more affordable at $151,400.
As expected, the new C 63 will be offered locally in the top-shelf ‘S’ specification only, meaning 375kW of power instead of the regular model’s 350kW, along with 700Nm of torque instead of 650Nm.
