The new McLaren 570S has gone official, just hours after leaked photos first surfaced online.
As the first model in McLaren’s new entry-level ‘Sports Series’ range, the 419kW 570S is destined to take on models like Porsche’s 911 Turbo and the Ferrari California T.
The new McLaren is driven by the same 3.8 litre twin-turbo V8 that features across the brand, giving the 570S 419kW (570PS) at 7400rpm and 600Nm of torque between 5000 and 6500rpm.
Motivation is sent to the rear wheels through a paddle-shifted seven-speed SSG transmission, and Mclaren claims a 0-100km/h time of just 3.2 seconds.
