No, this isn't the Mazda2-based next-gen Yaris that's been rumoured, however Toyota sub-brand Scion's iA light sedan is definitely a Toyota/Mazda mashup of sorts.
Spied by industry paper Autonews and rendered by TopSpeed (above), the iA is essentially a rebadged Mazda2 sedan with a different front bumper and unique headlight jewellery. It will be built in Mazda's Mexico plant and only sold in North America.
Scheduled to make its first public appearance at the New York Auto Show this week alongside the production version of the Scion iM, the iA will give Scion - Toyota's youth-focused offshoot - its first ever entry-level B-segment sedan.
