When the doors to the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon open next month, the Mazda stand will be chock-full of lightly-tuned goodies.

The previously revealed MX-5 Global Cup racer will predictably take most of the spotlight, but will also share the stage with a tuned CX-3, the Demio (Mazda2) Racing Concept, and "Prestige" versions of the Atenza (Mazda6) and CX-5.

The Axela (Mazda3) will also be shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon in mildly modified form, in both hatch and sedan bodystyles.

There's no mention of any mechanical upgrades for any of these show cars, but the more aggressive wheels, bodykits and graphics packages of the CX-3, Mazda3 and Mazda2 are certainly racy enough.

Each also gets a set of Mazdaspeed racing seats and red-painted calipers, but that's all we can discern for now.

Are they precursors to Mazdaspeed or MPS versions though? Not likely, rather expect to see some (but definitely not all) of these designs become optional bodykits in the Japanese market.

The Mazda6 and CX-5 Prestige versions may also be introduced as high-end variants in Japan.

The 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon Opens on January 9.
