The Takata airbag recall appears to be growing by the day, with Mazda the latest carmaker to add further variants to the list of targeted vehicles.

Mazda launched an initial recall program in June last year, which included around 80,000 Mazda6s, RX-8s, E-Series vans, T-Series cab-chassis and B-Series pickups - all sold between August 2002 and November 2007.

Also affected were Mazda6s sold between July 2005 and March 2009 under a separate recall.

Now, Mazda has added new Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) for its B-Series pickup (B2500, B2600), BT-50 pickup and the RX-8 performance coupe.
