Maserati has recalled a pair of models this week, due to a potential problem with the rear toe-in adjustment rods.

The carmaker has identified a weakness with the screws securing the rods, which may work their way loose over time.

Should this occur, the rear wheel alignment may be affected, reducing the level of control available to the driver.

If the driving experience was dramatically affected by the loss of alignment, a hazard may result for the vehicle occupants and other road users.

Around 800 cars from the Maserati Quattroporte and Ghibli range are affected in Australia and New Zealand, although Maserati notes that no incidents arising from this issue have been reported in either country.
