Maserati has announced Australian release of the GranTurismo S MC Shift, merging the automatic-equipped S variant with the 331kW V8 that drives the manual S and the hero MC Stradale.
Offering an 8kW and 20Nm boost over the regular automatic S, total output for the MC Shift is listed at 331kW at 7000rpm and 510Nm of torque at 4750rpm.
The GranTurismo MC Shift holds onto Maserati's fully-automatic transmission, leaving out the Stradale's Race Shift gearbox.
With the regular electro-actuated six-speed auto in play, the MC Shift claims a 0-100km/h time of 4.9 seconds - three one-hundredths of a second short of the MC Stradale's official time.
The new offering also goes without the Stradale's roll cage, sticking with the rear seats that the cage would otherwise replace.
While the MC Shift's engine is identical to its S Automatic stablemate, it gets a tweaked suspension package put together by the company's motorsport team.
Upgrades to the suspension include uprated shock-absorbers, stiffer springs and revised anti-roll bars at the front and rear.
The MC Shift also picks up the Stradale's larger wheels and brake package, along with carbon fibre highlights inside and out.

The GranTurismo MC Shift is on sale now, priced at $345,000 - plus on-roads.
