The Fiat Chrysler family’s new five-year plan, revealed in May, will see Ferrari production capped at 7000 units per year to maintain the brand’s exclusivity.

Now, according to business paper Reuters, Maserati will make a similar move, limiting annual numbers of its luxury sports and family offerings to 75,000.

And while the company is ‘only’ on track to reach 50,000 sales in 2015 - a considerable improvement over last year’s 15,400 sales - it expects to hit its goal of 75,000 units per year by 2018.
